Come along and learn the rules of baseball. This can be a great way for parents to connect with your kids that play. This session will cover 95% if what you will need to know, to successfully umpire a game on Saturday mornings.
I have delivered this training^ on behalf of the New South Wales Baseball Umpires Association for ten years. The training is about 2- 2½ hours in length, depending on the number of participants and questions, which are always welcomed.
We originally had 2 ladies in our crew so this is definitely NOT a MEN ONLY activity. Unfortunately, this has been reduced to 1 lady umpire recently.
if you want to come along, just to learn some of the rules, you are more than welcome. Attending doesn’t commit you doing any umpiring
Remember that the club’s ongoing success is because of the contributions of the many volunteers.
Different ticket types
1) Participant - People that are seeking to undertake the umpire training
2) Players - Player assistants for creating umpire scenarios
3) Coaches/Managers - Regular participants that may want some rule clarifications.
4) Observers - People that want to attend, just to watch and earn some rules
